In this tutorial, I will present how I create the wave composition using a sea rock some paper towel some transparent tape and a 3D pen.
Well, in the beginning, my intention was to create some basic rock shapes that I could build on. In order to save time and not waste a ton of material building the stones I used some paper towels and created three paper blobs. I used the tape to secure the blobs so as not to expand and a paper cutter to cut the blobs into stone shaped blobs! Then I used some hot glue to secure the blobs on the rock.
Then I started formating the rocks with the 3D pen in a basic undertone. I used black as I was out of brown for that. Then I started creating the sea and the wave structure.
This basic process is presented in the following pictures.
So the end result can be seen below. I’m quite satisfied both with the result and the artistic process I followed because practically everything worked as I was expecting in this composition.
