3D printing with HIPS, 0.25 layer height, cleaning, sanding and then painting with acrylics. In some of the figurines minor after painting glazing techniques were used.
Why HIPS:
Hips is a great material for printing 3D figurines because it is easily sanded and then can be painted without priming with plain acrylic paints
Pros:
Quick and easy printing, minor per-processing before printing. Average to good results.
Cons:
FDM 3D printers cannot deliver great printing quality due to the fact that in any resolution small layers will still show. If you wish to achieve top quality probably a resin printer is a better solution. I own one of those and I will try to share some results in the future.
