LCD 3D printing

Most of people are familiar with FDM 3D printing where the 3D printer is using a hot nozzle to deposit melted plastic on a surface. This type of 3D printing has some limitation in terms of quality and printing time. Quality is relevant to the mechanics and the nozzle itself while printing time is relevant to the moving distance that the 3D printer should make in order to print a 3D model and the maximum speed that it can achieve while moving.

DLP stands for digital light processing, and is a type of vat polymerization. Vat polymerization 3D printing technologies make use of a (liquid) photopolymer resin which is able to cure (solidify) under a light source.

Well although I have allot of experience in FDM 3D printing I’m kind of newbie in the DLP 3D printing domain and I should say that there are allot of thing to consider before moving to DLP 3D printing.
